HUMBLED Homeland star Damian Lewis poses for a selfie with three Millies heroes last night and told them: “You’re all legends.”

The Homeland star gave a thumbs-up as he posed with Corporals Ricky Furgusson and Josh Boggi and Lance Bombardier Ben Parkinson, who all suffered severe injuries while serving in Afghanistan.

Lewis gushed about the heroic men, telling them, "You're all legends... You guys are amazing. You're the heroes. What you have done for me, for your country is incredible. You're the legends."

The who's who of Britain turn out for the Millies

In a night where Britain’s military heroes took top billing we got to see Labour leader Ed Miliband, GBBO’s Mary Berry, former England footballer David Beckham and pop mogul Simon Cowell rubbing shoulders with Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan, Damian Lewis  former swimmer Rebecca Adlington and singer Amelia Lily.

The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall headed the list of names at A Night of Heroes: The Sun Military Awards, which took place at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, London.

Last week, he expressed his 'huge surprise' at being awarded an OBE for his contribution to acting.

But by Sunday, he appeared to be settling into his titled role quite nicely as he stepped out with his wife Helen McCrory at the 60th London Evening Standard Theatre Awards.

The loved-up couple, who share two children, hugged as they made a glamorous arrival at the London Palladium in coordinated black attire.

Homeland star Damian cut a dapper figure in a black suit, as he stood beside his actress wife of seven years, who wowed in a glittering black gown with a semi-sheer top. 
 

After the ceremony, the couple stayed on for the after-party, where they mingled with a host of well-heeled guests, including fellow screen stars Tom Hiddleston and Dominic West.

Helen was nominated for the Natasha Richardson award for Best Actress for her role in Medea, but lost out to Gillian Anderson, who won acclaim for her turn as Blanche Dubois in A Streetcar Named Desire.
